Teacher for a Day: Ms Preston Hannah won our Teacher for a Day essay competition and on Friday May 20th was an amazing teacher for the day. We had fun doing mindful go Noodle, maths problem solving, a fun quiz on Kahoot, an Ed Sheeran song, Lego engineering and bingo!
Art: Spring Daffodils: We went outside and sketched and coloured daffodils from our school yard using oil pastels. We also sketched some bees we were learning about in SESE.
Seachtain na Gaeilge - Tráth na gCeist During Seachtain na Gaeilge we did a Tráth na gCeist with all the second and third classes in the hall.
Olafs Fittest Pod
We had Olafs Fittest Pod competition in our class. We had four challenge: relay, back against the wall, long jump and the plank. It was a draw between Corcra and Dúghorm. So we had to hold a final Back against the Wall. It ended a draw with Ethan and Hazel agreeing to draw after 62 and a half minutes! They wanted to keep going. Amazing result from Ethan and Hazel. Well done to the top 5: Alex (43 mins), Thomas C (45 mins), Abbie (48 mins) , Ethan and Hazel for their amazing times.
Communion On Tuesday November 30th we had our First Holy Communion. It was such a special day.
Science & Maths Awards On Friday October 13th our class was invited to participate in the Science and Maths Awards Virtual ceremony to mark our school getting awarded with a Discover Primary Science and Maths Award. We enjoyed a live science show with Mark the science guy from Explorium.
Chess Challenge Each pod played against TY student and past pupil Gagik who plays chess for the Irish Chess Team.
